Deployment FAQ

How do I know if I'm eligible for deployment?

NorthStar operates as an independent contractor. Eligibility is determined by your specific credentials, including EMT, paramedic status, and relevant wilderness or disaster response experience. We require all candidates to provide verified documentation of their certifications.

Do you guarantee a specific number of deployments?

No. We are an independent medical response organization and do not guarantee deployments. We are selected based on the specific operational needs of the mission and the availability of qualified personnel at the time of assignment.

What are the requirements for wildland fire support?

For wildland fire operations, we require NWCG qualifications, Red Card status, and proven wilderness medical experience. Candidates must also have a valid driver's license and be available for remote, high-impact field deployments.

How do I apply for a VIPR or federal contract?

Applications for VIPR or federal contracts are managed through our internal hiring process. We prioritize candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the mission and possess the technical expertise required for federal wildland contracting.

What is the typical deployment timeline?

Deployment timelines vary significantly depending on the nature of the incident. From rapid-response disaster operations to extended wildland fire seasons, we are prepared to respond to any mission requirement as it arises.

The Path to Deployment

When the mission takes you remote, so does NorthStar Medical Response. We provide the rugged, field-oriented support required for wildland fire and disaster operations, ensuring medical excellence wherever the assignment leads.
